The function of the Group Policy Editor cannot be over-emphasized in carrying out many processes. From using it to disable features to preventing installation of applications, which are among some of the commonest applications it is used for in Windows operating systems.

When it encountered error it becomes difficult to use it for any of the processes it is made for. One of them is the failure to open the Group Policy Editor with the dialog message, '' Failed to open Group Policy Object on this computer. You might not have the appropriate rights''.
To solve the problem the following steps would be useful in the process.

STEP 1: Double -click on 'This PC' to open it .

STEP 2: Next, double-click on 'Local Disk(C)' to open it.
